Final Thoughts

Approaching Joker Split, we had a feeling it might play around the mechanics from one of the studio's earlier releases this year - Grim the Splitter. And we were pleasantly surprised because the medieval slot we're dealing with has nothing to do with the configuration served by the eerie shaman. Not that there was anything wrong with it, but we generally prefer a unique approach rather than see studios churning out reskins and remakes. Having said that, we're happy to say Joker Split offers a relatively straightforward gameplay, yet one that packs a serious punch, especially during the bonus. Base game respins are pretty frequent, giving a taste of what awaits during free spins, and that's most likely their primary function since they usually don't continue for too long. Their true power shows itself when Wilds start accumulating in the special container, making each successive spin significantly more attractive, should a cluster contain a Wild and release them all onto the grid. Having their multipliers persistent throughout the bonus is the icing on the cake, making you pray that one of the last spins will trigger the feature and flood the view with cheerful jesters carrying big numbers.

Graphics-wise Joker Split brings a clean medieval scene with a properly exposed reel cage in the form of a scene where the main performance takes place. Distinct symbols nicely play their secondary roles to the tune of the main characters - the jesters. And even though there's nothing that explicitly stands out to elevate the "wow" factor, it's a pleasant and eye-catching setting that makes it easy to feel comfortable in.
