Dam Beavers Slot Features

The starting point of each spin is the top level of the dam, offering a 5x5 grid. There are no pay lines or ways that would determine the winning combinations, so your attention should turn to the beavers and their dominating colors. Each creature will collect the fruit in its respective shade as long as they are directly horizontally and vertically adjacent. On every move, the tiles underneath the symbols will break, uncovering the lower layer on which additional features may wait. Payouts depend on the icons' upgrade level, starting from a range between 0.05 and 0.1 times the bet on the first, up to 5 and 50 times on the last (eighth).

Dam Levels & Coins

Uncovering the Breaking Point under the tiles will progress the game to the next stage after all wins are calculated. Each subsequent level comes with a larger grid, from 5x5 to 6x6 to 7x7 and 8x8. Additionally, they offer enhanced prizes.

The lower layer can also contain Coins, which are instant wins. A fully uncovered Coin awards its respective prize.

Feature Meter

Every collected regular symbol or Wild contributes to the meter above the grid. Once complete, it will award one of three card features:

• Refresh Symbols replaces all collected symbols back to the grid.
• Symbol Swap makes two symbol types switch places with each other.
• Wild Scatter transforms a random number of regular symbols into Wilds.

Special Symbols

As they traverse around the board, beavers can collect special symbols awarding unique features:

• Blender instantly maxes out the Feature Meter.
• Firework upgrades symbols matching the beaver that collected it.
• TNT blows away additional tiles.
• Passage transports the beaver to a spot where a collectible symbol sits or swaps position with another beaver.
• Pie triggers the bonus round.

Beaver Night Fever

Once all tiles have been cleared on the floor, the feature will trigger after all wins have been calculated. All symbols will clear and, depending on the current dam floor, will fall in again with an upgraded payout level:

• Floor 1: payout level 5.
• Floor 2: payout level 6.
• Floor 3: payout level 7.

The feature is not available on the lowest floor, as clearing all tiles there awards the max win of 10,000x.

Bonus Round

Whenever 3 Pie symbols are collected, a bonus round will activate after all wins have been calculated. All progress, including symbol upgrade, feature meter, and the current dam level, will be saved, and 5 free drops will be awarded. All progressive elements become persistent and don't reset between drops.

X-iter Bonus Buy

The Bonus Buy menu offers several possibilities for triggering features and bonuses for fixed buy-ins:

• Bonus Hunt - increased chance to trigger a bonus for 3 x bet
• Eager Beaver - start on the second floor and all symbol payouts at level 2 for 10 x bet
• Dam Buster - start on the third floor and all symbol payouts at level 3 for 25 x bet
• Bonus Game trigger at the first floor for 100 x bet
• Super Bonus Game trigger at the third floor and all symbol payouts at level 3 for 500 x bet

Final Thoughts

After the release of Pirots in March 2023 and its sequel later in November, we were genuinely wondering if the CollectR™ mechanism has taken off so well that ELK Studios will decide to use it in another product. Lo and behold, Dam Beavers arrive to roam around the grid and gather juicy pieces of fruit. At first, you might get the impression that it's some form of a clone, but after a few spins, the feeling is completely dispelled, showing that this is an entirely different creature. Even though the core function of collecting symbols is nearly identical, adding the extra layer underneath the tiles that holds instant prizes, progression through levels, and, ultimately, the max win of the game results in a new unique experience. Each spin is truly packed with potential, and when things start to unravel, you can spend a good while just sitting back and enjoying the show. The mix of familiar features from both Pirots parts with the added thrill of clearing the grid is a massively entertaining result.

From the design standpoint, ELK, as usual, delivers a state-of-the-art theme filled to the brim with diverse animations of the characters and spectacular effects. The scene dropping down one floor during the level progression adds buckets of dynamism and uniqueness to the gameplay, while different special symbols douse the atmosphere with flashy fx. It's a one-of-a-kind feast for the eyes and ears while hunting for that colossal final coin with the words "max win" written across.
